To get more wedding bookings, make it easy for a couple to say yes: show a clear price for their day, photos of real weddings you worked, a calendar they can trust, a fast and specific answer, and reviews from couples you actually served. Couples rarely book the supplier with the cleverest advert. They book the one who leaves them with the fewest open questions.
This guide takes those five things one by one, for every trade, with what to change on your profile this week and how each part works on Eventadore.
What couples decide on before they book a wedding supplier
A couple usually compares a handful of suppliers for each trade, often on a phone. They are spending real money on a day they cannot repeat, with people they have never met, so they look for reassurance:
A price they understand. Not "from", not "on request", but what their day would cost.
Proof of real work. Photos and films from weddings, not only styled shoots.
Availability they can trust. Whether you are free on their date, without having to ask.
A quick, specific answer. A sign that you will be just as reliable on the day.
Reviews from real bookings. Couples who paid, married and were glad they chose you.
A sixth is who they are signing with. Before a couple pays, our checkout names your legal name, town and country, and whether you work as a business or a private person, so enter your legal name exactly as it is on your invoices.
Show a clear price for the day
A couple who cannot see a price either writes to ask or opens the next profile, and the next profile usually wins. "Price on request" tends to read as "expensive".
A clear price says three things:
one main price that stands for you, and how it is charged — for the day, per hour with a minimum, or per guest;
what is included — the hours, who comes, the equipment, the meeting beforehand;
the rules that change it, written up front: travel, overtime, a surcharge for busy days, a minimum spend, your own deposit.
A worked example, with invented numbers: a DJ charges €1,300 for the day with six hours included, €120 for each further hour, 10 % more on Saturdays from May to September, and travel by the kilometre beyond 50 km. A couple nearby planning a Friday in March sees €1,300. A couple 120 km away planning a Saturday in July sees €1,430 plus the trip, added up into one total. Nobody has to ask, and nobody is surprised later.
That is how prices work on Eventadore. With a date and a number of guests, your card shows what that day costs, all in, travel included; without them, your price range. Travel and your other charges count once per booking, never per package. Your price is locked into a couple's request the moment they add you, and nobody renegotiates it.
Your first photo is your cover: the face of your business on every card and at the top of your profile. Choose it as if it were the only one a couple will see.
Show yourself at work, at a real wedding. The full dance floor, the long table in the garden.
Use your sharpest, largest files. A sharp photo is the cheapest improvement you can make.
Choose fewer, stronger photos. A few strong ones do more than thirty similar ones; show range instead — places, seasons, light.
Show what the couple buys. A caterer shows the food as it is served at a wedding; a venue shows the room set for one, by day and by night.
Ask first. Post only photos you have the rights to, of people who agreed to be shown.
You frame each photo once, for the search card, the profile banner and the phone. Profiles with a photo come before every profile without one in the recommended order: you are in the search either way, but a photo decides how far up. You can add up to six YouTube videos, and DJs, bands and musicians up to five Spotify links. Improving your profile walks through each screen.
Write a profile that answers couples' questions
Much of what a couple first writes to you is a question your profile could have answered. Answer it there.
The short description is one line under your name on every card. Say what you do and for whom: "Wedding DJ for bilingual parties, sound and dance-floor lighting included" says more than "Making your day unforgettable".
The description is your story. A shape that works for every trade:
Who you are, in two sentences.
What a wedding with you looks like, from the first message to the day after.
What is included, and what is not.
What you need from the venue: space, power, access time, a meal for your team.
What makes you different — shown with a fact, not an adjective.
The questions for your trade — your style, what you cover, your languages — go at the top of your profile, and some are search filters: a couple who filters by a style or a language finds the suppliers who answered it. Answer every one.
You write your texts once, in your own language. When you save, they are translated into the other seven languages, and couples can always read your original. Short, plain sentences translate best.
Keep your calendar true
The first filter most couples set is their date. A calendar that says you are free when you are not disappoints a couple ready to book; one that says you are booked when you are not loses you a wedding.
Say how many weddings you can take on one day — One, or More than one if you have several teams or machines — then keep your free days true in one of three ways:
Link your calendar — paste the private address of your Google, Outlook or Apple calendar. We read which days are taken and never change your calendar.
Mark the days you are booked by hand, the day you agree a booking anywhere.
Every day is free, if nothing is booked yet.
It matters even more once you accept the supplier terms. From then on, the price your packages and rules give for a day that is free in your calendar is an offer couples can book directly — they reserve, and you are booked — as long as every line in the box beside the terms is ticked. If you would rather decide each time, choose Not now — couples ask me first and answer each reservation yourself.
If you take weddings at short notice, say so in your partner area: couples planning in a hurry look for exactly that.
Answer fast: wedding enquiries are won in hours
A couple who writes to you has often written to others too, and the first clear answer sets the standard. Couples can message you from your profile; phone numbers and links stay hidden until a booking is paid, so answer fully in the conversation rather than asking for a call.
When a couple reserves you, the booking fee is held on their card and you are asked. You answer in your partner area, or with one tap from the email. How long you have depends on how close the wedding is:
more than two weeks away: 72 hours;
within two weeks: 24 hours;
within three days: 6 hours.
If you say yes, the fee is charged, the booking is confirmed and you receive the couple's contact details. If you say no or don't answer in time, the hold is released and nothing is charged — how paying works shows the couple's side.
A first answer that books, in five lines:
Thank them by name and repeat their date and place.
Say clearly whether you are free.
Say what their day includes at the price they saw.
Ask the one question that matters most — the start time, the number of guests, the style.
Say what happens next, and when.
Packages for real situations
Most suppliers need no packages: one main price with your conditions covers most weddings. Add a variant only if you really sell a second version — the whole day as well as ceremony and party, a ceremony-only set, a weekday lunch menu. Ten packages that differ by an hour make a couple do arithmetic; two that match real weddings let them choose.
A variant lives on your profile, where couples can choose it instead of your main price; it never appears on your card or in the AI planner's proposals. If a variant should stand for you, press Make this my price. Add-ons — an album, a second photographer, a late-night snack — are booked beside a package and never show on your card.
Then set your conditions once, and every package carries them: travel, an overnight allowance, overtime, a minimum spend and your own deposit, which the couple pays to you before the date. Under Weddings abroad you decide what changes in another country, and a surcharge covers your busiest days.
Reviews from real bookings, and how the search sorts you
A review is worth something only if it comes from a couple who booked you. On Eventadore that is the only kind there is: it comes from a couple who booked you and whose wedding has happened. Nobody can buy one or write one for you.
In your partner area, Your visibility shows how your place in the search comes about: Reviews, Response time, Acceptance rate, Calendar upkeep and Profile completeness, each with its weight and what improves it. Before every criterion, profiles with a photo come first in the recommended order. Nothing in the order of results can be bought.
Wedding vendor marketing beyond your profile
Some of the best bookings still come from people who have seen you work.
Be easy to recommend. Venues and other suppliers pass on the names of people who arrive on time and follow the running order.
Share your work. Send the venue and the florist a few photos from the day, with the couple's permission. Your name travels with them.
Keep one price everywhere. A couple who finds two prices for you trusts neither. The booking fee here is already inside your price, so your website and your profile can show the same one.
Ask couples where they found you. Then spend your time where the answers point.
Frequently asked questions
How do wedding suppliers get more bookings?
By removing the reasons couples keep looking: a clear price for their day, photos of real weddings, an up-to-date calendar, quick answers and reviews from couples they served. Marketing brings couples to your profile; those five things turn the visit into a booking.
Does it cost anything to be listed on Eventadore?
No. Registering is free, with no sign-up fee and no subscription. A fee is due only on a confirmed booking, and it is already inside your price; couples pay the rest to you directly. Registering your business takes about fifteen minutes.
Do I need photos to be found?
No. You are in the search from the moment you save the first step, with or without photos. But profiles with a photo come first in the recommended order, so add your best one soon.
Can a couple negotiate my price down after adding me?
No. The price is locked into their request the moment they add you, and nobody renegotiates it — you only say whether you are free. A new price applies to couples who add you after you save it.
What happens if I don't answer a reservation in time?
The hold on the couple's card is released, nothing is charged, and the couple is shown who else is free that day. You have 72 hours when the wedding is more than two weeks away, 24 within two weeks and 6 within three days.
